This wall-mounted piece, titled “Botero”, hangs inside the terrace area of a beach house in Costa Careyes. Stretching out before it, the immensity of the shoreline and sea are mirrored in the undulating, polished copper bands comprising the work. Exposed to the salt air and weather, these surfaces will undoubtedly be transformed, thereby serving as an elemental timepiece marking the passing days and years.
