LOCATED IN THE BORDER CITY OF TIJUANA, THE MATADERO BRIDGE IS AN INTENTION TO REFORMULATE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN URBANISM AND WATER FORMATIONS. THERE WAS AN EARLIER APPROACH IN WHICH THE HYDROLOGICAL FACTOR WAS NOT CONSIDERED IN THE DESIGN AND PROMPTED THE FORMATION OF A DAM AND FLOODS IN THE VICINITY. THE NEW SOLUTION FOR THE ROAD IS A BOLD AND MINIMALIST BRIDGE DESIGNED TO AVOID DISTURBANCES IN THE NATURAL COURSE OF THE CREEK COMBINED WITH THE PROPOSAL OF AN ECOLOGICAL PARK IN THE RIVERBED ADAPTED TO THE SEASONAL CHANGES OF THE STREAM.
