Designed and built to become an icon of the City of Pachuca, Hidalgo, the Pisal observation deck stands at a height of 30 meters over the sprawling mosaic mall created by Byron Galvez. Consisting of a horizontal ground level segment housing neatly proportioned bleachers, a vertical riser and protruding prism jutting confidently into space, the Pisal provides a spectacular view not only of the mosaic below, but also of the surrounding environs. Seen from a certain angle, these segment form the illusion of a triangle, evoking both the impossible geometry of the Penrose triangle and the triangular motifs used in the pyramid of Tula.
